Collection

Garbage and Recycling is collected at 9:30 am on Tuesdays with the following restrictions.

• Garbage must be kept under 25 lbs. Any garbage bags over 25 lbs will not be picked up.
• Any garbage torn up will not be picked or cleaned up by the Village.
• It is the responsibility of the property owner to clean up any garbage torn up by animals.

Recycling

Grayson uses single-stream recycling, with all recyclables mixed together. See Loraas Recycling Info 2021 for what can be recycled. Please place all recycling in clear blue or clear bags. Cardboard must be flattened and tied or it won’t be picked up as it flies off the trailer if it isn’t.

Waste Management Site

The Waste Management Site is available for disposal Thursdays and Saturdays 9-12. A $350 annual fee is required for access, and disposal charges for larger items as applicable.

Heavy Item Disposal

• $20 fee for a Large Appliance, i.e. oven, water heater
• $50 fee for a Small Truckload, i.e. 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton pickup
• $200 for an entire Grain Truck Load
